If you want somewhere to keep small things apart from big things, this is the wrong chest, because everything shares the same box. The drawer box is 430mm deep and comes that far into the room. Board and timber take up a little moisture in a damp autumn and give it back once the heating goes on, so a drawer that slides sweetly in August can drag slightly in December and be right again by spring.
