In a small room a closed 800mm wardrobe reads as a solid block; this one lets the eye through it and lifts off the floor on 152mm legs, so the room keeps its corners. That makes it a good answer for a box room, a dressing corner, or a spot where a swinging door has nowhere to go. It holds one person’s clothes, not two. And it asks something of you: with no doors, whatever is on the shelves is what the room looks like, and dust settles on the contents rather than on a door front.
