The glasses go down on the Highgrove, where the inlaid pattern catches the lamplight between them.

The Highgrove is a 90cm round coffee table in natural mindi wood, solid and veneered, with book-matched marquetry inlaid in the top and lacquered legs. It's 45cm high, a little higher than many coffee tables, which puts it close to sofa-seat level: easier for setting down a glass and for passing plates. It has a 'new traditional' look, classic in shape with a lighter, modern touch.

What is book-matched marquetry?

Veneers cut in sequence and laid as mirror images, so the grain pattern opens out like the pages of a book.
