It arrives made up, no assembly, in one box at 10.5kg. At 55cm it sits a little above most sofa arms, a comfortable reach for a glass and the right height for a lamp, and because the top is glass and the frame is open, a rug or a timber floor shows through it. It is the one you put beside the sofa when the room already has enough wood in it.

Measure first

Glass tops show any mismatch with the sofa arm, because you see straight through to the floor. Most arms sit around 45 to 50cm, so at 55cm the Rothbury stands a little above, which suits a lamp. Then check the lamp: a shade at seated eye level is right; a tall lamp on a 55cm table may put the bulb in your eyes.

Dimensions

Dimension

mm

cm

Width

500

50

Depth

500

50

Height

550

55

What is a bevelled edge?

The edge of the glass is ground at an angle, so it catches the light in a line round the top.
