Two mirrored doors and 1,735mm of clear height behind them.
The Rustique 2 Mirror Door Wardrobe comes from our Rustique collection — mindy ash and glass, in a natural colour, with a mirror on each of the two doors. Assembled it is 1,115mm wide, 600mm deep and 1,950mm high, and it weighs 114kg. The Ballincollig showroom is the place to judge it — doors, mirrors and all. Email info@mulberryhouse.ie for stock & delivery questions, any time now.
Who it’s for
The mirrors are the reason most people choose it. In a small bedroom a mirrored door does two jobs at once: a full-length mirror without giving up a wall to one, and a reflection that makes a narrow room read longer. It does not make the room bigger — it stops it feeling like a corridor. The other way round matters too: a mirror facing the bed is not to everyone’s taste, so stand where your bed will go and picture it. Inside, the cupboard is 970mm wide — a generous single wardrobe, not a shared one. At 1,950mm and 114kg it is also the one to think hardest about before delivery day.
Chosen by Paul
Paul says: “Measure the turn at the top of your stairs before you measure anything else. Three boxes, a hundred and fourteen kilos and mirrored glass on the front — that’s not something you want to discover halfway up.”
What you’re getting
- Mindy ash with glass, in a natural colour.
- Two doors, each with a mirror.
- Internal cupboard: 970mm wide, 520mm deep, 1,735mm high, clear.
- 600mm external depth — a standard hanger sits square rather than pressing on the door.
- 1,950mm high assembled. Three boxes, 114kg gross, assembly required.
- The specification we hold records no hanging rail, shelves or anti-topple kit for this piece. Email us before you order and someone will open one up and tell you exactly what is inside it.
Measure first
Assembled, in the room, it takes up:
| Dimension | mm | cm |
|---|---|---|
| Width | 1,115 | 111.5 |
| Depth | 600 | 60 |
| Height | 1,950 | 195 |
Height is the one to watch. Bringing 1,950mm upright once it is built needs roughly 2,040mm between floor and ceiling, which rules out most attic rooms and anywhere under a slope or a stairs bulkhead. Measure the ceiling, then the landing and the turn at the top of the stairs. It goes up in three boxes rather than one, which helps, but at 114kg this is a two-person carry, and mirrored glass travels flat and face-in.
See it before you buy
Mirror doors are heavier than plain ones and they close differently — you can feel it in the swing, and no photograph conveys that. Heritage Walk, The Quadrants, Ballincollig, Co. Cork (P31 W968), seven days a week, no appointment needed, and nobody will hurry you. A wardrobe this size does not stay in one spot for long, because we keep changing the floor around; ask for it and we will bring it up from the store room, or get one in for you inside a few days. Living with it
Mindy ash is a solid timber and it moves a little through the heating season — a fine line may open and close at a joint over the first winter, and the colour will settle and deepen over the first year. Both are normal. Because each door carries a mirror, the hinges take more weight than usual, so look along the gap between the doors after a month and again after six; if it has drifted, they adjust in a minute with a screwdriver. Spray the cloth rather than the mirror, so nothing runs into the timber edge where the glass meets the frame.
Delivery, assembly & aftercare
Allow around four weeks from the day you order.
Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom at no charge. The date is agreed with you before you pay.
Assembly required, in three boxes, 114kg gross. Two people, and clear the room first — mirrored doors and a tight space do not mix.
Any question, any at all: email info@mulberryhouse.ie and a person in the showroom will answer it.
Questions people ask
Is there a mirror on both doors?
Yes. Two doors, a mirror on each, which is why it works as the only mirror in a small bedroom.
How tall is the space inside?
The cupboard is 1,735mm high, 970mm wide and 520mm deep, clear. The rail height is not recorded in the specification we hold, so if a full-length coat is the deciding factor, email us and we will measure one and give you the figure.
Will it take two people’s clothes?
Not comfortably. 970mm of internal width suits one person well.
Does it come with an anti-topple kit?
No kit is listed in the specification for this one. A wardrobe this tall and this heavy should still be fixed to the wall, so email us before delivery and we will tell you what is supplied.
Will it fit under a sloped ceiling?
Almost certainly not. It is 1,950mm built and needs about 2,040mm of clear height to be stood upright in the room.
