Alabama Side Table

Somewhere for the glass, right where the sofa arm ends.

The Alabama is a round side table, 48cm across and 47cm high, with a dish top turned from solid mango wood on a powder-coated iron base. The grey and natural colouring keeps it quiet beside most sofas. When people come over it does the small job that matters: it holds the glass, the phone and the bowl of olives, and it does it at arm's height.

Is it level with a sofa arm?

Close to it. At 47cm high the dish top sits about where most sofa arms finish, so a glass set down from the sofa lands without a reach. If you want a lamp table, a taller piece will suit you better.

What is the top made of?

Solid mango wood, turned into a shallow dish. The base is iron with a powder-coated finish. The colour is listed as grey and natural.

Does it need putting together?

No. It arrives in one box, assembled, and weighs 10.4kg, so one person can carry it to where it's going.

Will a shallow dish top hold a drink safely?

Yes. The dip is gentle, and the top is 48cm across, so there's room for two glasses and a bowl of something.

What goes with it. Nothing else in the Alabama range is in this collection, so pair it by tone: it sits well beside a coffee table in oak or a darker wood, and the iron base picks up black lamp stands and picture frames.
