Ardella Console Table

Black glass and gold for the hall, and a shelf for the bottles.

The Ardella is a 120cm console in black glass on a soft gold iron frame, 36cm deep and 82cm high, with one glass shelf below the top. In the hall it's the first thing people see; on the night it earns its keep as the drinks table, bottles on the shelf, glasses on top, and the room stays clear.

Is the glass toughened?

The top and shelf are annealed glass with a polished edge, rather than tempered. It's made to be a table, not a worktop, so treat it as you would any glass surface: coasters under the heavy things, and nothing dropped on it.

Does it need putting together?

Only the legs and feet. The frame and glass arrive in one box of 28kg, and an anti-topple kit is included; we'd suggest fitting it if the table lives where people brush past.

Will black and gold go with what I have?

Black glass reads as a dark neutral, so it sits with oak, walnut and painted walls alike. The gold is soft rather than bright. If you like, bring a photo of the hall and we'll look at it together.

How do I keep it clean?

A soft cloth and glass cleaner. Fingerprints show on black glass, which is the one honest thing to say about it, so a quick wipe before people arrive is the habit.

What goes with it

The Ardella is sold on its own; coordinating side and coffee tables in the same black glass and gold are made to go with it, so if you'd like the set, ask us about them.
