Honestly: if you'd rather one solid coffee table that never moves, this isn't it. The Argyle is for the room that changes shape when friends come in: the bigger table stays by the sofa, the smaller one goes to whoever has no table.

The Argyle is a nest of two round coffee tables in an iron frame with a bronze finish and a bevelled mirror top on each. The larger is 75cm across and 55cm high; the smaller, 55cm across and 45cm high, slides underneath when the room is quiet. Nothing to assemble, and 18.8kg for the pair.

Is 55cm too high for a coffee table?

It's taller than most, which is the point when you're pouring from it or reaching for a glass from the sofa. Measure your sofa seat height; if the cushion sits around 45cm, the top will land a little above it.

Will the mirror tops scratch?

Mirror glass marks like any glass. Coasters and a tray for the bottles keep it looking as it did on day one; a soft cloth brings the shine back.

What finish is the frame?

Iron with a bronze finish, warmer than black and softer than gold. It sits well with dark wood and with cream walls.

Do the two tables lock together?

No. The smaller one simply nests under the larger. That's what lets it leave when the room fills up.

What goes with it

Delivery

Around four weeks, usually. It can be delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge, and we confirm the date with you before you pay.
