Astakos High Bar Set

The Astakos is an outdoor set: one slatted acacia bar table and two low-back bar chairs, oiled, and a little lower than a typical bar height. It sits in our garden range rather than the dining range, and suits a Cork patio or balcony with room for two.

How tall is it, and will my knees fit under?

The seat is 64cm high and the table top 90cm, a gap of 26cm, which is about right for knees under the top. A standard bar counter runs to 100–110cm with stools to match, so this set sits noticeably lower: more a tall garden table than a pub stool.

How many does it seat?

Two, on the chairs that come with it. The top is 70cm square: room for two plates, two glasses and a candle. Honestly: if what you’re after is the whole household at one table in the garden, this isn’t that table; our outdoor and garden furniture is the place to look for a full dining set.

What is it made of?

Acacia wood with an oiled finish, table and chairs alike. The table top is slatted, so rain drains through rather than sitting on it.

Can it stay out all year?

It’s made for outdoor use. Oiled timber left out in the weather changes colour over time, usually going paler and silvery unless it’s re-oiled, so if you’d like to keep the warm tone, ask us about care when you visit. A cover, or a spot in the shed through the wettest months, helps.

Will it fit on a small patio or balcony?

The table takes a 70cm square of ground. With two chairs and room to get on and off them, allow a space of roughly 1.8m by 1.8m, and measure yours before you decide.

Can you deliver it?

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.
