Belmonte Side Table

Seventy centimetres of tray top, so nobody puts a glass on the floor.

Honestly: if the gap beside your sofa is under 75cm, this will crowd it. The Belmonte's top is 70cm across. Measure the space first, and if it's tight, the Alabama or the Hoffman is a better fit.

The Belmonte is a round side table in solid mango wood, 70cm across and 48cm high, with a wide overhanging tray top on a laminated, sculpted base the maker calls a beehive. That top is the point. When people come over and the coffee table is already full, this is the overflow: glasses, the second bowl of crisps, somebody's phone. At 48cm it sits roughly level with a sofa arm.

How big is the top?

70cm across, which is wide for a side table. It takes a lamp, two glasses and a plate with room left. At 48cm high it's close to sofa-arm height.

What does 'beehive' base mean?

The base is built from laminated layers of solid mango wood, sculpted into a stepped, rounded shape that narrows under the tray top.

Does it come apart?

It arrives in two boxes and you fit the top to the base. 18.7kg in total.

Is there a matching coffee table?

Yes, in the same mango wood and the same sculpted base.

Will the wood change colour?

Mango wood is a natural timber and the grain varies from piece to piece. Keep it out of direct sun and away from radiators.

What goes with it. The matching Belmonte coffee table in the same sculpted mango wood, and the other natural mango pieces in this collection: the Hoffman side table and the Alabama.
