Darker wood, same two drawers, for the hall with warmer tones.

The walnut Camden is the natural Camden in a darker coat: the same 110cm by 36cm by 76cm console, two drawers, slim wooden handles, MDF and rubber wood, 22kg. The natural finish is light and lifts a dim hall; the walnut is a deep, warm brown that holds its own against colour and looks right beside a dark front door, tan leather or a red rug. If the hall is already bright and you want weight at the bottom of the wall, walnut is the one; if it's narrow and dark, go natural.

Dimension mm cm
Width 1100 110
Depth 360 36
Height 760 76

Is the walnut a stain or a paint?

A walnut finish over the wood, so the grain shows through as a darker brown rather than a flat colour.

Will dust show on a dark finish?

More than on the natural, in honesty. A soft cloth once a week keeps it right.

What goes in the drawers?

The flat things: post, keys, gloves. The console is 36cm deep, so the drawers are shallow and wide.

Does it need building?

Legs and feet only. The anti-topple kit is in the box.

What goes with it

The Camden 2 Drawer Console Natural is the lighter version. A brass lamp warms the walnut further; a black one sharpens it.
