Canterbury Side Table

Eight sides, a mirrored top, and the candle counts twice.

Honestly: if you want a table for a laptop or a plate, the top is 36cm across and it's mirror. This is a table for a lamp and a glass, and it's a very good one.

The Canterbury is an octagonal side table, 36cm across and 60cm high, with a gold metal frame and a bevelled mirror top. Small footprint, tall stance. On a winter evening with the lamps low it reflects whatever sits on it, which is why it suits the corner with the candle or the drinks tray. It weighs 5.2kg and lifts with one hand.

Is the top glass or mirror?

A bevelled mirror top, set into the gold metal frame. It reflects the lamp and doubles the light on a dark evening.

How much does it weigh?

5.2kg, so it moves to wherever an extra surface is needed.

What shape is it?

Octagonal, 36cm across, on a gold metal frame 60cm high.

Is 60cm too high for a sofa?

For a flush sofa-arm table, yes. At 60cm it's a lamp table or a drinks table beside an armchair.

Does it need putting together?

No. It arrives in one box, ready.

What goes with it. The Highgate side table, the same gold frame with an antiqued glass top, and the Southgate in bronze with a tinted glass top.
