Cirella Coffee Table Cream

Cream, ridged and heavy enough to stay exactly where you put it.

Honestly: if you like to push the coffee table aside to make room, this isn't the one. The Cirella is glass fibre reinforced concrete and ships at 63kg; it's for the room where the table stays put and the people move round it.

The Cirella is an 80cm coffee table in cream-glazed glass fibre reinforced concrete, 38cm high, with a ridged pattern round the sides and a sectioned top. It's a bold piece in a contemporary room, and it does a quiet job on the night: a broad, steady surface for the board, the candles and the glasses, with no legs for anyone to knock.

Does it need assembling?

No. It arrives in one piece, in one box, at 63kg packed. Plan for two strong people, and know where it's going before it comes in the door.

What is glass fibre reinforced concrete?

Concrete strengthened with glass fibres, which lets it be moulded into shapes like the ridges and the sectioned top. The cream glaze gives it a finished surface rather than raw concrete.

Will the sectioned top be awkward for glasses?

The sections are a pattern in the surface, not deep divisions. A board or tray sits across them; a single glass sits fine on any section.

Is 38cm low?

A little lower than many sofa seats. It's comfortable for reaching down to a glass; if you like to eat from the coffee table, a 40–45cm table may suit you better.

What goes with it

The Cirella is sold on its own. In a room this sculptural, plainer side tables in cream or warm metal let it lead.
