Craft Side Table Natural

Round oak, a shaped underframe, and nothing to catch your hip on the way past.

Paul’s pro tip: a round top is the kind one. When the room fills up and people are stepping past the sofa, a 50cm round side table has no corners to catch a hip. Put the Craft where the traffic goes, at the end of the sofa nearest the door, and leave the square tables for the quiet corners.

The Craft Side Table in natural oak is 50cm across and 55cm high, in oak and oak-veneered MDF with a simple round top on a shaped underframe. It comes in one box, fully assembled, and weighs 8kg, so it lifts easily to wherever the extra glass needs to go. At 55cm it sits a little above most sofa arms and a little below lamp height, a middle height that suits a sofa end as well as a chair in the hall. It also comes in a smoked oak finish, and there are matching pieces in the Craft range.

Dimensions

Is it solid oak?

Oak solids with oak-veneered MDF where a flat stable panel does the job better. The grain you see is oak.

Will natural oak match my oak floor?

Close, rarely exact. Natural oak finishes vary by board and by finish, so bring a photograph and we can hold the sample beside it.

Is 55cm a good height for a lamp?

For a table lamp beside a sofa, yes. The shade ends up around eye level when you are seated, which is where you want it in the evening.

Can it take a drink without a coaster?

The finish is sealed, but oak and water rings are old enemies. A coaster costs nothing.
