Davidson Dining Table White Effect

“We haven’t much room. Will a table for six take over?” It’s the fair question to ask of the Davidson, one of the glass-topped tables we sell in Ballincollig, and the numbers give an honest answer.

The top is 160cm by 90cm and seats six: two along each side and one at each end. With about 90cm behind each chair to push back, you’re looking at roughly 3.4m by 2.7m of floor once the chairs are in use. If your room is tighter than that, look at the round Fielding, which seats four on 110cm.

The look helps too. A pale glass top with a white marble effect, on angled iron legs, lets you see floor beneath it and light across it, so it doesn’t sit in the middle of a small room like a block of timber.

Living with glass and iron

New furniture settles in like anything new. Once the legs are on, check the table sits level on your floor, and give the leg fixings a once-over after the first week or two. Glass wipes clean, but a hot dish straight from the oven belongs on a mat, and a felt pad under anything heavy saves scratches when it’s slid across.

How it reaches you

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.

Questions people ask

Does it come in black?
Yes. The Davidson Black Effect is the same table with a black marble-effect top.

How heavy is it?
About 55kg packed, in two boxes, and only the legs need fitting.

Would it work in a kitchen?
If the kitchen is where you eat, it’s as at home there as in a dining room. The glass top wipes down after breakfast and is ready again for dinner.
