Hackney Floor Lamp Antique Brass

Touch the stem, choose the level, bend the light to the book.

Honestly: this is a task lamp. It lights a page, a chair or a corner of a desk, and does it well. If you want a lamp to light the whole sitting room when people come over, an uplighter such as the Rome is the better tool.

The Hackney is an antique brass plated task floor lamp in steel, 25cm wide and 50cm deep, with a flexible stem that adjusts from 112cm to 159cm tall. A three-stage touch dimmer sits where your hand falls, and a directional handle moves the head. It is the lamp beside the reading chair, dimmed to its lowest when the room is full and up full when it is just you.

What bulb does it take?

One 18W G9 clear capsule, not included. Warm white at 2800K suits the brass.

How does the dimmer work?

Touch the switch: three levels and off. No dial to find in the dark.

How far does it bend?

The stem is flexible and the handle directs the head, so the light goes down onto the page or across the chair.
