The Hawking dining chair in brown comes as a pair, and the sizes below are for one chair. In a smaller home near Cork, where the table is also the desk and the chairs double as spare seats, every centimetre a chair takes up gets noticed.

How much room does one chair take?

Less than you might think for a chair with some shape to it.

Allow about 90cm behind a chair to pull it out and sit down. In a tight room, that’s the number to measure, from the table edge to the wall.

Will the seat height suit my table?

At 46.5cm, the seat suits a table of 70–75cm, the usual dining height, and leaves plenty of room for knees under the top.

What’s under the brown cover?

A metal frame, a plywood base, foam filling, and a brown PU cover.

Do they come built?

Nearly. The legs go on at home and that’s it, and both chairs come in one box that weighs about 13kg, so one person can usually manage it up a stairs.

Can they do double duty at the kitchen island?

Not at island height. For the counter, the Hawking stool in brown has the same look with a 65cm seat, so a small kitchen can have both and still read as one room.

What table would suit them?

How does delivery work?

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.
