Book-matched marquetry, 60cm tall, for the host's own chair.

The Highgrove Side Table is round, 47.5cm across and 60cm high, in mindi wood solids and veneers with marquetry and inlaid book-matched detail across the top, finished in a warm mid-brown called Peroba with lacquered legs. It arrives in one box, needs no assembly, and weighs 12.6kg. At 60cm it is a lamp table: the shade sits around eye level from a seat, the glass is at elbow height, and when the drinks are poured it is the table beside the chair the host never quite gets back to.

Dimensions

Dimension mm cm
Width 475 47.5
Depth 475 47.5
Height 600 60
Clearance to floor 508 50.8

What does book-matched mean?

Two sheets of veneer from the same cut, opened like a book so the grain mirrors itself across the centre line. It is what gives the top its symmetry.

Is 60cm too tall beside a sofa?

It stands above most sofa arms, which sit around 45 to 50cm, and that is the point of a lamp table. If you want the glass level with the arm, a 50cm table will suit you better.

Will the finish go with oak?

Peroba is a mid-brown with warmth in it, darker than natural oak and lighter than walnut. It sits between the two without arguing with either.

Is there a version with storage?

Yes. The Highgrove Drum is also round, slightly lower, with a drawer and a cupboard.

What goes with it

The Highgrove Drum Side Table is the storage sibling in the same wood and finish; the open table at the host's chair and the drum at the sofa end is how we would place the pair.
