Humber Footstool Cream Faux Sheepskin

A cream faux sheepskin footstool, 43.5cm high, for the end of the evening.

The Humber is a footstool in cream faux sheepskin on a black wooden frame, in a mid-century shape. If you’re coming to our Ballincollig showroom, measure your sofa’s seat height first; it’s the number that matters most here.

At 43.5cm high it sits close to the seat height of many sofas and armchairs, which is what you want from a footstool: legs out level, not propped up. Measure your own seat height from the floor; if it’s within a few centimetres of 43.5cm, the Humber lines up. Its footprint, 59 by 46.5cm, is about the size of a large floor cushion.

Right room, wrong room

It works in front of the chair people move to once dinner is over and the table has been cleared, when the talk carries on from the sofa and someone wants their feet up. It also works as a soft, pale contrast in a room with dark floors or a leather sofa.

One caution: it’s a footstool, not a coffee table. A soft, deep pile top won’t hold a tray of cups steady. And cream in a house with a muddy dog is a brave choice; the ochre Humber is more forgiving.

Living with faux sheepskin

The pile flattens where feet rest most, which is normal for any deep pile. Ruffle it with your fingers now and again and it lifts. Keep it back from a fire or a very hot radiator, as you would any upholstered piece.

Delivery, about four weeks

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.
