Josephine Floor Lamp

Arched nickel over the sofa, vintage white shade, light from above.

Two couples on one sofa, a third on the floor with their backs to it. No ceiling light, just a bright nickel arc reaching over their heads from the corner, a big white shade at the end of it, and the whole group lit as if the lamp had been put there for the photo.

The Josephine is an arched floor lamp in bright nickel plated steel with an oversized vintage white faux silk shade, 45cm wide, 66.5cm deep and 152cm tall. It takes one E27 bulb and switches on the cable with a foot switch. The arc lets the shade hang over the end of a sofa or a chair, so the light comes down from above rather than from beside.

Is the bulb included?

No. One 60W E27 GLS or LED equivalent, not included.

How far does the arc reach?

The lamp is 66.5cm deep overall, so the shade sits roughly half a metre out from the base.

Is it dimmable?

No. The inline foot switch is on or off.

Will it go with brass?

Bright nickel is a cool silver. In a brass room it will stand out; in a grey, white or black room it belongs.
