Marmo Round Dining Table

Four friends, one round marble top, and everything within reach.

Four of you, a round table, a pot of something in the middle. Nobody is stranded at the far end or wedged against the wall; the dish goes round once and everyone has reached it, a glass gets topped up without anyone standing. Conversation crosses the table instead of running down it.

The Marmo Round Dining Table is 1.1 metres across and seats four: polished white marble, grey-blue in the veins, on a drum base of solid mango wood with vertical ribbing. You’ll find us in Ballincollig, a short drive west of the city, if you’d like to talk it through.

Space to plan for

Once chairs are pulled back all round, a 1.1-metre table like this wants a floor space close to 2.9 metres square.

The Marmo 3 Door Sideboard carries the same marble and ribbed mango wood, if you’d like the room to hang together. For seats, our dining chairs run from upholstered to timber; four upholstered chairs in a soft colour are an easy way to warm up the stone.

Before you choose

Our showroom at Heritage Walk, The Quadrants, Ballincollig, Co. Cork, P31 W968 has a good deal of dining furniture set out. Email before you come if you’d like to know whether the Marmo Round is out that week; either way, it’s worth sitting at a few of our tables to feel how a central base leaves more room for feet than corner legs. Delivery, near and far

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collect it from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge; either way, we’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.

Marble questions

Is the marble real?
Yes, polished natural marble. No two tops are veined the same.

Round, or the 2-metre Marmo?
Round for four and a smaller room; the Marmo Dining Table for eight and a long one.

How should I look after the top?
Coasters, mats and prompt wiping. We’ll go through the rest with you when you visit.
