Monaco Floor Lamp Satin Chrome

Uplight the ceiling, point the small lamp at the book, dim them both.

This is the Monaco two-light floor lamp in satin chrome with frosted glass, 32.5cm across and 182cm tall; the antique brass Monaco is the same lamp in a warmer metal. Chrome suits a room with black, grey or white in it already; brass leans towards timber and warm paint. The stem, the twists at the top, the uplighter and the adjustable reading branch are identical, as is the double rotary dimmer, which is the reason to choose it: the uplighter at half for the room, the reading light up full for one person, and nothing else on.

Are the bulbs included?

No. It takes a 230W R7s linear bulb (117mm) in the uplighter and a 33W G9 capsule in the reading arm; LED equivalents fit.

How bright can it go?

Up to 4,645 lumens with the bulbs specified, warm white at 3000K, and dimmed down from there.

Does the reading arm move?

Yes. The branch is adjustable, so the light goes onto the page rather than into the room.

What goes with it

The Monaco in antique brass is the other finish. Beside a sofa, a lamp table at arm height keeps the glass off the floor.
