The Murano in leopard is a side table 39.5cm wide, 39.5cm deep and 46.5cm high, with a body of mouth-blown soda lime glass in a brown leopard pattern and an aluminium top. Because the glass is blown by mouth, no two are quite the same shape and the pattern lands differently on each. It arrives made up, no assembly, in one box at 15kg. At 46.5cm it sits level with a sofa arm, the height a glass lands at without looking. It is the small piece with personality in a room that is otherwise well behaved, and when people come over it is the one they ask about.

Is it fragile?

It is glass, so it is not for a hallway where bags get dropped. In a living room beside a sofa it is as safe as a glass lamp base; the aluminium top takes the knocks.

What does mouth-blown mean?

The glass body is shaped by a glassblower rather than a mould, so the walls vary in thickness and the form is organic. Yours will not be identical to the photograph.

Does the top take a hot cup?

The top is aluminium, so a mug is fine. Keep a coaster under anything very hot.

Will leopard go with my room?

Leopard is brown and cream, which sit with most wood tones and most neutrals. It works as the one patterned thing in a plain room.
