A pair of Palmer bar stools in grey faux leather on angled black metal legs; the measurements are for one stool. The seat is 750mm off the floor, which makes these true bar-height stools, and that single number decides whether they’re right for you. Our showroom is in Ballincollig, Co. Cork.

One stool, in figures

What that means in a kitchen: leave 25cm or a little more between seat and counter top, and a 75cm seat suits a bar or raised counter of around 100 to 110cm. On a standard 90cm worktop they’re too tall. Each stool is 60cm deep, so leave room behind it for someone to walk past while you’re sitting.

Right counter, wrong counter

They’re for a raised breakfast bar, a home bar, or a kitchen with a high ledge along the island. Honestly: at an ordinary worktop, look at the Oppo stools, which sit at 65cm. And if you’d like something warmer, the Palmer also comes in a vintage brown with bronze legs.

Measure your bar before you come in and we’ll work through the gap with you. If the Palmer isn’t set out when you visit, we’ll talk you through the grey and the legs and order it in. Somebody’s always in the kitchen while the dinner finishes, and it’s usually more than one. A pair of bar stools gives them somewhere to perch with a glass, close enough to talk and far enough from the hob. Faux leather copes with that sort of evening: a damp cloth sees to most spills.

Delivery details

Allow around four weeks for delivery, across Cork and nationwide (Republic of Ireland only). Or collect it from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. Either way, we’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.
