Grey-washed oak, 120cm long, calm enough for almost any room.

Paul's pro tip

A grey wash is the quiet friend of a busy room. If your sofa is patterned or your walls are strong, a table like this lets them lead, and the drinks and the board become the colour on top. Pair it with a lamp in warm brass to stop the grey feeling cool.

The Panelled is a coffee table, 120cm by 55cm and 40cm high, with an oak-veneered top in a smoked grey wash and solid rubberwood legs matched to the finish. It was designed with apartment living in mind, so it's slim enough for a smaller room, and it looks at home in a wide range of interiors.

What colour is 'smoked' here?

A grey wash over white oak veneer, with the legs matched to it. Lighter and cooler than a brown smoked oak.

Is it suitable for a small room?

Yes. At 55cm deep it keeps the walkway clear, and 120cm suits a two- or three-seater sofa.

How does 40cm sit with a sofa?

Comfortably, for most sofas: at or just under the seat.

Is it heavy?

20kg packed, in one box.
