Rai Coffee Table

Charcoal and off-white metal, low and wide, with drama to spare.

A dark room, a low lamp, and four of you round a table that looks like it has a past. The charcoal finish takes the light softly, and the glasses and a bowl of almonds look right on it without trying.

The Rai is an 83.5cm coffee table, 38cm high, in metal with an antique charcoal finish touched with off-white. It's about 11kg and needs no assembly. Low and wide, it suits a deep sofa and a room that likes a bit of character.

What does antique charcoal look like?

A dark, worn-in charcoal with off-white showing through, so it reads as aged rather than flat black.

Is it heavy?

About 11kg; light enough to move without help.

Does it need building?

No. It arrives ready.

Will it go with lighter furniture?

It's a strong, dark piece. Against pale oak and linen it becomes the focal point; only you can tell if that's what the room wants.

What goes with it

The Rai Side Table is in the same antique charcoal, 48cm high, for the end of the sofa or beside a chair.
