Rex Dining Chair Cement Linen (Set of 2)

Cement linen, brass nailheads and angled ash legs, in a pair.

Two Rex dining chairs, upholstered in cement-coloured linen with brass nailhead trim on angled solid ash legs; the measurements are for one chair. They’re chairs for every meal, not just the good ones, and these are the questions people ask us in Ballincollig, Co. Cork, before buying them.

Am I buying one chair or two?

Two. They’re sold in pairs, packed in one box.

How big is each chair?

Will it suit my table?

The seat is 490mm high, which leaves about 26cm to the top of a standard 750mm table: a normal dining gap. At 46cm wide, each chair wants around 60cm of table edge: three down each side of a 1.8-metre table.

How much room does it need behind it?

The chair is 64cm deep. Add about 90cm behind the table edge so it can be pulled out and sat on without anyone breathing in.

What’s the fabric like?

Linen, in a colour called Cement. Linen is a natural fibre with a slightly irregular texture, and it softens as it’s used.

Is pale linen sensible at a busy table?

It depends how your table gets used. Linen shows a spill sooner than a dark fabric would. If yours is the table where the cereal goes flying, ask us to show you the Cement colour before you decide.

Does it match the Rex stools?

Yes, in colour and trim: the Rex Bar Stool Cement shares the Cement colour, the brass studs and the angled legs, at counter height. Its fabric is a polyester-cotton rather than linen.

Can I try one first?

Try out a few of our dining chairs for seat height first. Then ask about the Rex; if a pair isn’t in the showroom that week, we’ll describe it properly and order it in. Heritage Walk, The Quadrants, Ballincollig, Co. Cork, P31 W968. Monday to Saturday, 9.30am–5pm. Closed Sundays. No appointment needed; nobody will hurry you. Get directions

How does delivery work?

Both chairs come in one box. Allow around four weeks for delivery, across Cork and nationwide (Republic of Ireland only). Or collect it from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. Either way, we’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.

Any question, any at all: email info@mulberryhouse.ie and a person in the showroom will answer it.
