Ripple 2 Door 3 Drawer Sideboard

Three drawers for forks and napkins, two doors for everything else.

Sunday, half six, and somebody is sent for the big serving spoon. Somebody else goes back for the napkins, then the salt, then the good gravy jug that only comes out once a week. It’s the same seats every time and the same argument about who carves, and the sideboard is where every errand ends. In a Cork kitchen-diner, that trip is shorter when everything lives in one place.

What the Ripple sideboard is

A low, long sideboard from our Ripple range, 1.5 metres across and 81cm high. The doors and drawer fronts are black-finished solid mango wood cut with ripples, which run up and down on the two doors and side to side on the three drawers, so the light catches them differently depending on where you stand. Underneath is a gold-finish metal base. It’s the low partner to the tall Ripple display unit.

Sizes

At 81cm it stands a little above a standard dining table, a comfortable height to set a hot dish down while you find a mat for it. Allow about 90cm clear in front so a drawer can come fully out with someone sitting nearby, and remember a 1.5m piece at roughly 73kg boxed is a job for two.

Its tall partner, the Ripple 2 Door Open Display Unit, sets open shelves over two doors on the same gold base. Long and low for serving, tall and open for glasses. Tables and chairs to put between them are in our dining collection.

Delivery

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.

A few answers

How much fits in one drawer?
Each is 44 x 31cm inside and 16cm high, deep enough for a cutlery tray with serving spoons laid on top, or a stack of folded napkins and placemats.

Does it need assembling?
No. It arrives in one piece, in one box.

Why the anti-topple kit on something this low?
Three drawers pulled out at once shift the weight forward. The kit fixes it to the wall so that isn’t something you ever think about.
