Rustique 2 Door 1 Drawer Sideboard

This is the compact Rustique sideboard: 96cm across, one long drawer on top and a two-door cupboard beneath, with the range’s parquet-style pattern on the top, the drawer front and the door panels. These are the questions people bring to us in Ballincollig about a sideboard this size.

How much wall does it take?

Less than a metre, so it fits the gap between a door and a corner, the wall under a window, or a hallway that leads into the dining room. Allow around 90cm in front for the drawer to come out and for someone to stand at it.

Is it useful when people are over?

That’s where it shines. At 80cm the top is a touch above table height: somewhere to set down the bottle, the cheese board and the bread so the table itself stays clear and you’re not up and down all night. For those of us who find hosting a matter of keeping things moving, a landing place within arm’s reach helps more than you’d think.

What fits inside?

The drawer is 77cm wide, 31.5cm deep and 10cm high inside: a cutlery tray and the serving spoons, or folded napkins and placemats. Below, the cupboard runs about 80cm wide with adjustable shelves, so you can set the spacing to suit tall jugs or stacked bowls.

What’s it made of?

Solid mahogany and solid mindi, with particle board, MDF and LVL. The top, drawer front and door panels are laid in the Rustique parquet-style pattern, with an inset centre panel on each door, and lightly brushed for a softly aged finish.

Does it need fixing to the wall?

It comes with an anti-topple kit, and it’s worth fixing to the wall: a full drawer pulled out shifts the weight forward. It arrives in one box, about 43kg.

What goes with it?

The Rustique Round Dining Table is the natural partner, both scaled for a smaller dining room. For a longer wall there’s the Rustique 2 Door 3 Drawer Sideboard, and the round side table carries the pattern into the living room.

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.
