Rustique Dressing Stool

It lives at the dressing table and gets borrowed when lunch runs late.

The Rustique Dressing Stool is a small, low stool in lightly brushed Mindy ash with a fabric seat, from the same Rustique range as our dining tables and sideboards. It belongs in the bedroom, in front of a dressing table or at the foot of the bed. It’s also light enough to carry downstairs when the table needs one more seat. How it earns its keep

Lunch was meant to be an hour. By five the light has gone orange, a neighbour has called in, someone’s brother has arrived with a bottle, and there is one more person than there are chairs. At 5.3kg the Rustique stool comes down the stairs in one hand. At 45cm high it sits close to the height of a dining chair seat: at a 75cm Rustique table that leaves about 30cm between seat and table top, a comfortable gap for eating. Afterwards it goes back upstairs to the dressing table, where it spends most of its life.

Measure first

Two things to check at home. Under the dressing table: you’ll want more than 45cm clear beneath the top, plus room for your knees, so the stool can slide in when it isn’t in use. And at the dining table: 34cm deep is a neat perch rather than a chair, grand for an extra guest, not the seat to give the person who likes to sit back.

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.

It’s in the same Rustique range with the same lightly brushed finish; the stool’s timber is listed as Mindy ash.

Can the seat be cleaned?
Blot spills rather than rub, and test any cleaner on the underside first.

Does it come built?
Yes, it arrives ready to use.
