The Rye 1 Drawer 1 Door Display Unit is a tall, narrow cabinet in matt dark grey steel with a ridged tempered-glass door, a drawer and three shelves. It’s the slim one of the Rye pair, and people visiting our Ballincollig showroom tend to ask the same handful of things about a unit like it.

How much room does it need?

Half a metre wide, so it slots into the narrow wall that’s left at the end of a kitchen run or beside a back door. At 1.65 metres, check the height against a sloping ceiling or a low shelf above.

What does it actually hold, day to day?

Think about the everyday things you reach for before you’ve properly woken up: cereal bowls, mugs, the teapot. Those go behind the glass. The drawer takes placemats, tea towels, batteries and the spare keys nobody can ever find.

Can the shelves move?

Yes. There are three, and they’re adjustable. You put the shelves in when it arrives; that’s all the assembly there is.

What’s it made of?

Iron, in a matt dark grey finish, with tempered glass. The glass is ridged, so what’s behind it is softened rather than on full display.

Is it steady?

It’s a solid piece, around 70kg boxed, and an anti-topple kit is in the box. With a tall, narrow cabinet it’s always worth fixing to the wall. It arrives in one box, and it takes two people to carry.

Is there a wider version?

How does delivery work?

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.
