The Rye, in plain terms

The Rye 2 Door 2 Drawer Display Unit is a metre-wide cabinet in matt dark grey steel. Two ridged tempered-glass doors close over two adjustable shelves, and two drawers sit alongside. The ridged glass lets you see roughly where things are without the whole collection being on show. It’s the wider of the two Rye units; the slim one is the 1 Drawer 1 Door, at half the width. Our showroom is in Ballincollig, and we’re happy to talk you through both.

Measure the room and the route

Two measurements matter here. The wall, obviously: a metre across and 42cm out from it. And the way in: at 1.65 metres tall and around 117kg in its box, it wants a clear hall and, if it’s going upstairs, a check of the turn at the landing. Tell us about steps or tight corners when you order.

Delivery

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.

How heavy is it, really?
About 117kg boxed. Two strong people at the least, and a clear run.

Can I move the shelves?
Yes, both shelves are adjustable, so tall jugs and stacked plates can share it.

What stops it tipping?
An anti-topple kit is included; with children about, it’s worth fixing to the wall on day one.
