The Sloane Dining Chair in natural is our curved-back dining chair upholstered in a light, natural-toned fabric over a maple frame. People choosing chairs in our Ballincollig showroom ask the same eight or so things about a pale one, so here they are.

What colour is “natural”?

A soft, pale neutral. The photo gives you the idea, but screens vary, so if the exact shade matters, email us and we’ll describe it against something you already know. It sits well with light oak and with white or stone tops, and next to a dark table it lightens the whole setting.

How big is it?

It’s a generous chair, 64cm wide, so give each one about 65–70cm of table edge.

Is a pale chair a mistake with people over?

It’s the worry everyone has, and it’s reasonable. Most spills at a table are water, wine and sauce, and the rule is the same for all three: blot straight away with a clean cloth, don’t rub, and test any cleaner on a hidden part first. If your table sees small children and spaghetti most nights, the rust or grey Sloane might suit you better.

What’s underneath the fabric?

A maple frame, with foam and polyester fibre padding. The seat is 49cm deep with a curved back, so it’s a chair you can sit back in for a whole evening of talk.

Does it come assembled?

Yes. One chair, one box, no tools, roughly 18kg.

Will it suit my table height?

The seat is 49cm high. At a table of 73–76cm that leaves a comfortable 24–27cm between seat and table top.

What goes with it?

Almost any table in our dining tables collection. It also pairs well with the other Sloanes, green or grey boucle and rust, if you want a pale set with one colour at the head.

Can I check the height before I buy?

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.
