Tarnby Dining Chair Brown Leather (Set of 2)

Brown leather dining chairs, bought in twos, for tables that stay busy.

The Tarnby Dining Chair in brown leather comes as a set of two, on natural-finish wooden legs. Here’s what people in our Ballincollig showroom tend to want to know.

How are they sold?

In twos. The measurements below are for a single chair.

How big is each chair?

At 49cm wide, a Tarnby takes about 60cm of table edge, so six sit easily along a 180cm table with one at each end.

Will it suit our table?

A 49cm seat at a table of 73–76cm leaves 24–27cm between seat and top, the usual comfortable gap. Measure the underside of your table if it has a deep rail or apron.

What’s it covered in?

Leather, in a light tan brown, over foam. The materials list also includes fabric, so ask us which parts are which if that matters to you.

Is it a chair you can sit in for a whole afternoon?

Only you can tell. The seat is 46cm deep and foam-padded. Compare those figures with a chair you already find comfortable, or come in and try a few of our dining chairs for more than a minute; we’ll tell you whether the Tarnby is out that week.

How does the leather age?

It softens and creases at the seat over the first months and picks up a gentle patina. Wipe with a barely damp cloth, keep it out of strong sun and away from radiators.

What goes with it?

The Tarnby Bar Stool comes in the same brown leather, if there’s an island in the room too. For tables, browse our dining tables.

Is there assembly?

Just the legs. Two chairs, one box.
