Toledo Floor Lamp Black

Matt black and clear glass, a foot switch, and a reading corner sorted.

The Toledo is a modern floor lamp in matt black painted steel with a clear glass shade, 25cm wide, 28cm deep and 152cm tall. It takes one E27 bulb and switches on an inline foot switch. Clear glass means the bulb is the light, so a filament LED turns it into a warm point in the corner when people come over and the big light goes off.

Measure first. The footprint is small, 25 by 28cm, so it fits where wider shaded lamps will not: the gap between a sofa arm and a door, or beside a slim armchair. At 152cm the shade sits at about head height when you are standing, so it reads as a reading lamp rather than a room light.

Dimensions and lighting spec

• Bulb type: 40W E27 GLS
• Bulb included: no
• Switch: inline foot switch
• Dimmable: non-dimmable
• Electrical class: Class 2
• IP rating: IP20
• Cable length: 200cm

Is the bulb included?

No. One 40W E27 GLS or an LED filament equivalent, not included.

Is it dimmable?

No. The foot switch is on or off, so a lower-wattage filament LED is the route to a softer light.

Will matt black go with a brass room?

Black goes with everything, including brass; it is the one metal finish that never argues.

What goes with it

There is no other Toledo piece in this range. A black or dark timber side table beside it keeps the look consistent.

A clear glass shade shows its bulb, so it is worth seeing the lighting range lit at Heritage Walk, The Quadrants, Ballincollig, Co. Cork, P31 W968. Monday to Saturday, 9.30am–5pm; closed Sundays; no appointment. Get directions.

Lead time is around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge, and your delivery date is confirmed with you before you pay.

Any question, any at all: email info@mulberryhouse.ie and a person in the showroom will answer it.
