Acton 2 Drawer Console White

White with gold handles, for the hall that wants to feel brighter.

The white Acton is the same console as the black one: 110cm wide, 36cm deep, 76cm high, two drawers, gold handles, MDF and rubber wood, 22kg. Where the black version draws a sharp line against a pale wall, the white one melts into it and lets the handles and whatever you put on top do the talking. In a narrow or north-facing hall, white is often the kinder choice; in a bright, colourful one, the black holds its own. You'll know which hall you have.

Is the white a warm or a cool white?

A clean white rather than cream. Against ivory walls it will look a shade brighter than the wall.

How much do the drawers hold?

They're the width of the console and shallow with it: post, keys, the dog's lead. Not the vacuum cleaner.

Will the white mark?

Any pale painted finish shows scuffs sooner than a dark one; a damp cloth deals with most of them. The gold handles take the wear instead of the front.

What has to be assembled?

The legs and feet. The anti-topple kit is in the box.

What goes with it

The Acton 2 Drawer Console Black is the darker version. A mirror above doubles the light a white console already brings to a hall.
