Amalfi Floor Lamp Antique Brass

A reading lamp that points where you tell it, in antique brass.

Paul’s pro tip: stand a reading lamp slightly behind the chair arm, not beside it, so the light comes over the shoulder onto the page and never into the eyes of the person opposite. The Amalfi’s curved handle makes that adjustment a one-hand job.

The Amalfi is a steel reading floor lamp in antique brass plate with a gloss white inside to the head, 23cm wide, 32cm deep and 161cm tall. The head tilts on a handle, the on/off rocker switch is on the back of the head within reach, and it takes one GU10 LED bulb. When people come over it is the lamp beside the armchair that stays on after the overhead light goes off.

Dimensions and lighting spec

• Bulb type: 7W LED GU10 (×1)
• Bulb included: no

What bulb does it take?

One 7W LED GU10, not included. A warm white one keeps the brass looking warm.

Where is the switch?

A rocker switch on the back of the head, so you reach up rather than down to the floor.

Is there another finish?

Yes, the Amalfi in nickel, the same lamp in a cooler metal.

How heavy is it?

Just under 5kg boxed, so it moves from room to room without any fuss.
