Walnut-stained mango on U-shaped legs, 150cm of somewhere to set things.

Honestly: if your hall wall is under 160cm, this is too long for it. The Arc wants a proper run of wall, or the back of a sofa in a big living room. For a shorter wall, the Hoffman at 135cm or the Craft at 140cm will suit you better.

The Arc is a long console in dark-stained mango wood with a walnut tone, carried on carved U-shaped legs with a metal plate in the construction. It's 150cm wide, 40cm deep and 80cm high, with 77cm clear underneath, and weighs 24kg. The seventies-leaning shape makes it as much a slim desk as a console, and on a night with people over it's the sideboard you didn't have: bottles at one end, the cheese at the other.

Is the wood solid?

Mango wood with a dark stain that lets the grain through. Mango varies a lot from board to board, so the markings on yours will be its own.

Can I use it as a desk?

Yes. 80cm high and 40cm deep suits a laptop and a lamp, and the 77cm clearance takes a chair.

Does it need fixing to the wall?

An anti-topple kit is in the box. On a flat wall with the legs fitted it stands on its own; we'd fit the kit where children run past.

Pair it with a lamp at one end and a long mirror above; a nest of tables such as the Dakota in black and natural mango picks up the timber.
