A backless oak and rope stool for when the chairs run out.

Every chair is taken, and the neighbour who called in to return a drill is still standing at the counter twenty minutes later with a mug in one hand. Someone slides this stool out from under the island. He sits, the mug goes down, and the drill is forgotten on the worktop.

What it is

It’s one of the Eton pieces we sell in Ballincollig: a single backless stool, with a solid oak frame in matte lacquer and a seat of hand-woven rope, 65cm off the floor. That height suits a kitchen counter of about 90cm. It’s sold on its own, which makes it the easy answer to the extra-seat question.
