Iowa Coffee Table Natural

Weathered mango blocks, low and long, for the sitting room that fills up.

Honestly: at 30cm this is a low table. If you like to eat supper from the coffee table, or want it level with the sofa seat, one of our 40–45cm tables will suit you better. If you like a long, grounded surface you reach down to, read on.

The Iowa is a coffee table in mango wood and mango veneer, 150cm long, 60cm deep and 30cm high, made to look like solid blocks of cross-sawn timber with a dry, weathered natural finish. It's long enough to run the length of a big sofa, and the low, chunky build gives the room a rustic anchor. When people come over, it's a long landing strip for boards, bottles and glasses.

Is it solid wood?

It's mango wood and mango wood veneer, built to read as solid blocks. The cross-sawn look is part of the design.

Does it need putting together?

No assembly. It arrives in one box at 45kg packed, so plan for two people.

Will the weathered finish mark easily?

A dry, weathered finish is forgiving of the odd mark, which suits a table people actually use. Coasters under cold glasses are still a good habit.

Is there a paler version?

Yes, the same table in whitewash, for a lighter room.

What goes with it

Its pale twin is the Iowa Coffee Table Whitewash. In the same natural finish there's the Iowa Side Table Natural and the Iowa Console Natural.
