Iowa Console Whitewash

Whitewashed mango, chunky and calm, for the brighter hall.

The whitewash Iowa is the natural Iowa with a pale wash over the same rough-hewn mango: 140cm wide, 36cm deep, 80cm high, 37.1kg, 72.5cm clear beneath. The natural finish is warm brown and reads as farmhouse; the whitewash lets the grain and tool marks show through a chalky white, and reads as coastal or Scandinavian. Dark floors and dark doors want the whitewash; pale rooms that need a bit of weight want the natural. Both are the same solid, square-cut table underneath.

Is whitewash the same as painted white?

No. A whitewash is a thin pale finish that leaves the grain and the tool marks visible, so the timber still looks like timber.

Will the finish wear?

Rough-hewn timber is forgiving; small marks become part of it. Wipe spills rather than leave them.

Can I use it as a desk?

Yes, the 72.5cm clearance takes a chair and 36cm of depth takes a laptop and a lamp.

How heavy?

37.1kg in one box. Two people for the carry-in.

What goes with it

Give it around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. Your delivery date is confirmed before you pay.
