Late on a Saturday. The dinner has moved to the sofas, someone has found the good glasses, and the Korsa is doing the job it is shaped for: a 49cm round top at the arm of the sofa, two glasses and a bowl on it, the base out of the way of everyone’s feet.

The Korsa is a round side table 49cm across and 45cm high, in oak and oak veneer with rubberwood in the base, in a natural finish. The base is the sculptural part, a shaped form rather than four legs, with 41cm of clearance under the top. At 45cm it sits level with a low sofa arm, which is the height for a glass set down without looking. It comes in one box, the base fits to the top, and it weighs 7kg, so it lifts to wherever the next drink is going. The top is wider than most side tables, which matters when there are two of you sharing it.

Is 45cm too low?

Not for most sofas: arms tend to sit around 45 to 50cm, so the top lands where your hand does. Beside a tall-armed sofa you will reach down a little. Measure the arm and compare.

What is the base made of?

Oak, oak veneer and rubberwood, shaped into a single sculptural form. The top is oak veneer.

How much assembly?

The base fits to the top. One person, a few minutes.
