Sono Side Table Forest

Small, green and blown by mouth: a low glass table for beside a low chair.

What you’re getting

• Mouth-blown soda lime glass in a forest green, bubble-like in shape
• Aluminium plate top
• 30cm wide, 30cm deep and 41cm high: lower than a sofa arm, right for a low chair
• One box, no assembly, 7.25kg
• A one-glass table

The Sono in forest is a small side table 30cm wide, 30cm deep and 41cm high, with a body of mouth-blown soda lime glass in a deep forest green, rounded like a bubble, under an aluminium plate top. It arrives made up, no assembly, in one box at 7.25kg. At 41cm it sits below a sofa arm, which makes it the table for a low lounge chair, a floor cushion, the hearth or the end of a bed rather than for beside a tall sofa. It is a one-glass table, and when the room is full and someone has taken the low chair by the fire, it is the glass table that goes with them.

Is 41cm too low?

Beside a standard sofa, yes: you would be reaching down past the arm. Beside a low chair, a pouffe or the fireside it is right. Measure the arm you will be sitting at.

Is the glass fragile?

It is glass, blown thick, with an aluminium top to take the knocks. In a living room it lives as safely as a glass lamp; a hallway with bags is not the place.

What shade is forest?

A deep green with warmth in it, darker than bottle green in shadow and glowing when a lamp is behind it.

Is there a bigger version?

The Murano side tables use the same mouth-blown glass at 39.5cm across and 46.5cm high, in leopard and white.
