Amalfi Side Table Black

Black marble, solid all the way through, beside the chair that gets the best seat.

Honestly: if you want a table you'll lift and move around the room as people arrive, this isn't it. It's 31kg of marble. Choose it for the spot it will keep.

The Amalfi is a round side table in solid black marble, 40cm across and 50cm high. The top and the base are both stone, and the base rises to a gently curved shoulder before the top sits on. On a winter evening it's the drinks table beside the armchair: a glass, a small lamp, the book someone has given up on.

How heavy is it?

31kg. It's solid marble top and base, so it stays where you put it. Plan where it lives before it arrives, and lift it with two people.

Is the pattern the same on every table?

No. Marble is a natural stone, so the veining on yours will differ from the photograph. That's the point of it.

Will it hold a lamp?

Yes, and at 50cm it's a touch above most sofa arms, which suits a small lamp or a tray of drinks. It's a little tall to be a pure sofa-arm table.

Does it come in other colours?

Four: Black, Ember, Natural and White. All the same 40 × 40 × 50cm size.

How do I look after marble?

Wipe spills as they happen, especially wine and citrus, and use a coaster under glasses. A damp cloth is enough for everyday.

What goes with it. The same table in Ember, Natural and White. Two in different colours either side of a sofa is a quiet way to do it.
