Eton Trestle Dining Table Meteor

Angled painted legs under 160cm of grooved oak.

The Eton trestle table is 160cm of grooved, planked oak on angled legs, painted in a finish called Meteor. It’s a slim table for a narrower room, and one of the Eton pieces we sell in Ballincollig.

How much room does it take?

With chairs pulled out, allow a room of roughly 3.4m by 2.6m. It stands at standard dining height, 75cm, which suits the 46cm seat of the Eton chairs.

How many will it seat?

Four, by the listing. At 80cm deep it’s a slim table, which is what makes it work in a narrower room. If six is the usual number at yours, the Eton Extending Dining Table suits better, at 95cm deep and extending to 230cm.

Can I put a bench with it?

Yes. The Eton Trestle Bench Prairie is the trestle partner, and the Eton Dining Bench Meteor shares the finish. Both are 150cm long, so measure the clear space between the trestle ends before counting on a bench sliding underneath.

Where do things go when the table’s full?

A slim table leaves less middle for serving dishes, so give the food somewhere else to land. The Eton 2 Door Sideboard Natural against the wall takes a board, the bread and the serving dishes, and people help themselves from there.

What’s it made of?

Oak, pine and MDF: a grooved and planked oak top, and hand-painted solid timber legs in matte lacquer and matte paint. Because it’s made by hand, the colour can vary slightly from one to the next.

Does it need assembling?

Yes. It comes in one box, about 38kg packed.
