Hatfield Coffee Table Smoked

Darker oak, softer edges, and room for a board and four glasses.

The Hatfield Smoked is the same oval as the Hatfield Natural: 100cm long, 50cm wide, 35cm high, oak and oak veneer on tapered legs, 9kg packed. The smoked finish is the only change, and it changes the room. In natural it's light and Scandi; in smoked it's warmer and a touch mid-century, and it sits more easily beside a dark leather chair or a deep-coloured sofa.

Which Hatfield suits a dark sofa?

Most people find the smoked sits better with dark upholstery, and the natural gives a lift to a pale one. Only you can tell which balance you want.

Does the smoked finish cover the grain?

No, it darkens the oak; the grain still reads through.

How do I care for it?

A soft, dry or barely damp cloth. Coasters under cold glasses, and nothing hot straight on the surface.

What goes with it

The Hatfield Side Table Smoked matches it for the end of the sofa, and the Hatfield Console Table Smoked carries the same finish to the hall.
