Highgrove Extending Dining Table

Two metres fifteen most days, two metres sixty when there are more of you.

The Highgrove extending table is the big table of the Highgrove range: 215cm long closed and 260cm open, 100cm deep, in a rich mid-brown finish called Peroba. It’s made from mindi solids and veneers over MDF, with marquetry and book-matched inlay across the top. It belongs in a proper dining room or a generous kitchen-diner, and at our Ballincollig showroom, ten minutes from Cork city, we can go through the leaves and the finish with you.

The extra-seat question

Most weeks, six is plenty. Then a birthday lands on a Sunday, a friend brings a new partner, and the question is whether there’s room for two more. The Highgrove is listed to seat six to eight, and the butterfly centre leaves take it from 215cm to 260cm, so the answer to “is there room?” gets easier.

Whoever likes the easiest way in and out does best at an end, where there’s no neighbour’s chair to shuffle past.

Materials and make

• Mindi solids and mindi veneer over MDF, in the Peroba finish
• Marquetry and book-matched inlay on the top
• Lacquered legs
• Butterfly centre leaves for extending
• Legs only to fit; one box, about 88kg, so plan for two people

Will it fit?

Allow about 90cm all round for chairs to pull out. Closed, that means a room of roughly 3.95m by 2.8m; extended, you’ll want around 4.4m of length. The underside sits 56.5cm off the floor, so check your chair’s seat height against it; email us the figure and we’ll work out the gap with you.

Getting it home

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.
