Hudson Console Table Bronze

Bronze metal, glass above, mirror below; the drinks catch the light twice.

Lamps on, a bottle open on the glass top and the light bouncing up off the mirror shelf underneath. The hall is the warmest room in the house for the first half hour, because that's where everyone stops. Somebody has already put their glass down on the console twice.

The Hudson is a metal-framed console in a vintage bronze finish with an aged gold leaf detail on the legs, a tempered glass top and a mirror glass shelf below. It's 100cm wide, 35cm deep and 75cm high, 16.4kg, with 13.5cm clear beneath the lower shelf. The two shelves make it a natural drinks table: bottles below, glasses and the lamp on top.

Is the top tempered?

Yes, the top shelf is tempered glass. The lower shelf is mirror glass, which is what throws the light up.

Will the mirror shelf show every mark?

It will show dust and rings, as any mirror does. A soft cloth before people arrive is the whole routine.

What is the bronze finish like?

A darkened, vintage bronze rather than a bright metal, with the aged gold leaf on the legs catching the light. It sits well with dark walls and warm colours.

What's the assembly?

Full assembly, from one box. The anti-topple kit is included.

What goes with it

The Hudson Console Table Champagne is the same console in a paler metal. The Argyle Coffee Table Nest of 2 carries the same bronze and mirror into the living room.
