Iowa 4 Door Sideboard Natural

Four doors, two cupboards and 170cm of mango wood top.

The Iowa 4 Door Sideboard in Natural is a long, low mango wood sideboard with four doors over two cupboards. It’s the piece that swallows the cereal bowls, the board games and the spare tea towels, and our Ballincollig showroom can tell you about the rest of the Iowa range.

How big is it?

At 70cm it sits a little lower than a dining table, which leaves room above it for a mirror or a picture.

What’s behind the doors?

Two cupboards, each about 82cm wide, 40cm deep and 56cm high inside, with a shelf giving 27.2cm between levels. Serving bowls, tablecloths and the things with no other home all fit.

Will wine bottles stand up inside?

Under the shelf, at 27.2cm, most wine bottles are too tall to stand upright. They’ll lie on their side, or live on top.

Is it steady with children climbing about?

It comes with an anti-topple kit to fix it to the wall, which we’d use in any house with small climbers. It’s also heavy: 82.8kg packed.

How does mango wood take day-to-day use?

It’s an everyday sort of timber: grain and colour vary along the boards, and a mark from a mug or a set of keys becomes part of it. Use a mat under anything hot, and keep it clear of a radiator, as the wood moves a little with the heating.

What goes with it?

The Iowa Dining Table in Natural for a matched room, or the Iowa table in Whitewash if you like the two tones together.
