Two Malvern dining chairs, one box; the measurements further down are for one chair. They’re oak veneer over a rubberwood and MDF frame, with a neutral fabric seat, in the same natural finish as the Malvern tables and sideboards. Plenty of our dining furniture is out in the Ballincollig showroom, and we’re happy to tell you which Malvern pieces are there when you call in.

When the table fills up

A dish going round, someone reaching over for the bread, a chair scraped back to let a latecomer in. That’s when a chair gets tested: whether you can shift it back a few centimetres without hitting the wall, whether there’s space for one more at the corner, whether the seat still feels right an hour after the food is finished and nobody wants to move. At 45cm wide the Malvern is a slim chair, so squeezing an extra one in is realistic.

Room to pull a chair out

Allow around 60cm of table edge per person, and about 90cm of clear floor behind each one for getting up and sitting down. Seat height: ask us and we’ll confirm it for you.

We’re at Heritage Walk, The Quadrants, Ballincollig, Co. Cork, P31 W968, a short drive west of the city. Monday to Saturday, 9.30am–5pm, closed Sundays, and no appointment needed. Delivery and collection

Allow around four weeks. Delivered across Cork and nationwide, or collected from the showroom in Ballincollig at no charge. We’ll confirm your delivery date before you pay.

Your questions

Are they sold singly?
No; they come as a pair.

Will they suit a table that isn’t Malvern?
They may well. A plain oak veneer and a neutral seat sit with most wood tones; if your table is very dark, bring a photo and we’ll compare it with the Malvern finish for you.

Are they solid oak?
The frame is rubberwood and MDF with an oak veneer. The look is oak; the build is what the material list says.
